Explore African American art with me on Saturday at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum! Together, we’ll explore the artwork of Baltimore’s best visual artists and then, create our own masterpieces! This workshop is perfect for artists ages 4-10. Register now by clicking here.

Celebrate Billie Holiday’s 100th Birthday

@ the Reginald F. Lewis Museum!

Celebrate April as Jazz Appreciation Month and join us for a fun  and interactive afternoon learning about jazz legend Billie Holiday. Hear the story Mister and Lady Day: Billie Holiday and the Dog Who Loved Her by Amy Novesky. Then, scat and  sing Holiday’s blues songs and create an art project honoring this timeless songstress.

Making Toys with Culture Queen @ the Smithsonian


 Join  Culture Queen  as she leads children and families  in exploring the pastimes of children during the Civil War through storytelling, music, movement, arts and crafts. Participants will learn about the playtime toys that were popular during the Civil War as well as have the opportunity to make their own toys as a takeaway.  Each participant will receive a complimentary copy of an exhibition Family and Visitor’s Guide which includes puzzles, games, and an exhibition treasure hunt.
